Description

The Cancer Council Queensland raises funds with the view of eliminating cancer and diminishing suffering from cancer through research, treatment, patient care, prevention, and early detection. The Council provides a range of services including:

• support services
  • Cancer Council helpline; cancer counselling service; support programs (e.g., information workshops and seminars); Cancer Connect (peer support service); breast cancer support service; brain tumour support service; treatment support; childhood, adolescent, and young adult support service; educational support for health professionals, teachers, schools, and the community; and awareness raising events;
• informational resources for a range of cancer topics;
• early detection programs and initiatives; and
• research activities/initiatives.
