BreastScreen WA

Description

BreastScreen WA provides a screening mammogram service to women with the purpose of detecting breast cancer at an early stage. Women in Australia have a one in eight risk of developing breast cancer in their lifetime. Women aged 40 years or over are eligible to have a free screening mammogram at BreastScreen WA every two years. The BreastScreen WA program is the state component of the national breast cancer screening program, BreastScreen Australia. BreastScreen WA provides culturally appropriate screening services and information for Indigenous women in collaboration with many urban, rural and remote Aboriginal Medical services.
