The National Breast and Ovarian Cancer Centre (NBOCC) is Australia's independent national authority and information source on breast and ovarian cancer. The NBOCC aims to reduce mortality and improve the wellbeing of those diagnosed with breast or ovarian cancer. In order to achieve this aim, the NBOCC endeavours to play a lead role in national cancer control and in improving cancer care, using an evidence-based approach to inform best practice, health systems reform, and policy. The Centre is funded by the Australian Government and works in partnership with health professionals, cancer organisations, researchers, governments, and those diagnosed with cancer to improve breast and ovarian cancer outcomes.
