Description

The Australasian Podiatry Council is responsible for preparation of national policies and clinical practice guidelines, representation of the profession to government and industry bodies, assessment of overseas trained podiatrists, research within the discipline and setting competency standards within the profession.

The Council represents the profession on a range of national peak groups including the National Diabetes Network, the National Allied Health Classification Committee and at Allied Health Professions Australia.

The Council is formally affiliated with two organisations: the Australasian College of Podiatric Surgeons and the Australasian Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine.
