The Australian Diabetes Society (ADS) is the peak medical and scientific body in Australia working towards improved care and outcomes for people with diabetes. It is an incorporated association and is made up of its members. Membership is open to any medical graduate or scientist with a declared interest in diabetes, and any individual in a primary role in professional diabetes care.
The society's major focus is the annual scientific meeting (ASM) which is held in conjunction with the Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA). This forum promotes the exchange of the latest clinical practices and cutting edge research in diabetes.
