Description

The George Institute for Global Health is an internationally recognised health research organisation undertaking research across a broad health landscape with the mission to improve the health of millions of people worldwide. The institute works with communities that are most vulnerable; those that lack access to quality health services and general education, or are geography or social isolated. Affiliated with the University of Sydney, the institute is a leader in the clinical trials, health policy and capacity-building areas.

Improving Indigenous health is a George Institute priority, in particular, addressing the higher rates of chronic disease and injury. The institute's Indigenous health programs develop evidence and community-based solutions to help close the gap.
