Description

Ngwala Willumbong Co-operative Ltd provides outreach services to help Aboriginal people deal with their substance use problems while staying in their community in Victoria. Residential recovery centres are also offered in various locations.

A multi-disciplinary team of professionals including alcohol and drug counsellors, specialist counsellors, welfare workers, case managers, social workers, family support workers, housing, outreach and youth workers provide culturally sensitive services for Aboriginal people.

• Yitjawudik Men's Recovery Centre
• Winja Ulupna Women's Recovery Centre
• Galiamble Men's Recovery Centre.

Outreach programs include:

• Koori Community Alcohol & Drug Resource Centre (sobering-up centre)
• alcohol and other drug outreach services
• innovative health services for homeless youth
• Supported assistance accomodation program (SAAP)
• Integrated family violence services system (IFVSS)
• Djarmbi Tiddas mentoring.
