Njernda Aboriginal Corporation aims to deliver community controlled, holistic services and programs which improve the physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual wellbeing of the Aboriginal community of Echuca and surrounding areas.

Njernda delivers a range of programs and services in the areas of health, housing, childcare, family and youth services. Services at Njernda are provided with the purpose of strengthening relationships and reconnecting with the land, communities, and culture. They include:

• family support
• Baroona youth healing centre
• Yakapna family healing centre
• Ngurelban Aboriginal healing service
• medical services
• justice services
• Berrimba childcare
• visiting specialists.

Njernda Aboriginal Corporation, formerly the Echuca Aboriginal Cooperative, was established in 1974 by local Aboriginal people seeking recognition and self determination. Echuca is located on the Murray River in Northern Victoria and is within the traditional lands of the Yorta Yorta Nation.
