Description

Colony 47 provides services to vulnerable people in the Tasmanian community who are in need of assistance. Their programs include:

• housing assistance for people who are homeless or whose housing is unstable
• tenants needing financial assistance
• accommodation for young women who are homeless or escaping family violence
• supported employment opportunities for people with mental illness or people who have physical or intellectual disabilities
• services for young children and families who live in disadvantaged communities
• counselling services for young people and their families
• services for the Aboriginal community (health and employment services)
• training opportunities for apprentices and trainees
• help for people who are in prison or are exiting the prison service
• Aboriginal community links information and referral service.

Colony 47 delivers innovative, client-focused services in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. The service aims to help people overcome their immediate crisis and find long-term solutions to their problems.
