The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) provides a comprehensive service supporting the health, wellbeing, and development of young people in Western Australia (WA). CAHS services a population of 507,000 people under 16 years (2010 estimation), of which 5.7% identified as Aboriginal.
CAHS runs the State's only dedicated paediatric hospital, as well as specialised statewide services, and provides support to other hospitals and health services across the State. CAHS aims to ensure children and adolescents from WA get the best start in life through:
