Juvenile Justice NSW

 

Description

Juvenile Justice NSW supervises and cares for young offenders in the community and in detention centres. Juvenile Justice NSW is responsible for the administration of youth justice conferences and for the supervision of young offenders who receive community-based orders or custodial sentences from the courts in NSW.

The prime focus in the agencies operations with juvenile offenders is to address their offending behaviour in ways that have been proven to be effective in reducing the risks associated with reoffending, and to effectively supervise young offenders as they meet their legal obligations.
