Fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) scientific research network

 

Description

The Fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) Scientific Research Network was formed in late 2009 by a group of multidisciplinary researchers, to study the effects of prenatal alcohol exposure. Initially comprising twenty-five high level investigators, seven of whom are Indigenous, their aim is to identify alcohol-related developmental effects, and to translate and share this knowledge with others. This includes informing scientists, health professionals, policy makers, and field workers to better assist community-based prevention and therapeutic interventions.
