National Organisation for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (NOFASD)

Description

The National Organisation for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (NOFASD) Australia is the peak national non-government organisation representing the interests of parents, carers and others interested in or affected by Fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD).

Through education, training and advocacy, NOFASD Australia aims to prevent FASD, and improve the lives of children and adults living with FASD and the families who support them. NOFASD Australia delivers support to families living with FASD, as well as education and training workshops for both government and non-government agencies throughout Australia.

NOFASD Australia was originally known as the National Organisation for Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and Related Disorders (NOFASARD) but changed their name in September 2013 to reflect the current accepted FASD terminology and acknowledge all conditions within the spectrum.
