The Australian College of Optometry (ACO) is a not-for-profit organisation established in 1939 with the mission to promote the visual health and well-being of the communities it serves, by leading the profession to build its knowledge base, attain and advance clinical skills and deliver the best possible optometric care.
Eye care services are provided for those on low incomes in Melbourne and rural Victoria. ACO also provide community education, professional development for health professionals and clinical training for undergraduate optometry students in Victoria.
