Statewide Respiratory Clinical Network

 

Description

The Statewide Respiratory Clinical Network aims to improve the quality, safety, and effectiveness of respiratory care in Queensland. It achieves this by focussing on improving clinical practice improvement and quality and safety enhancements in relation to respiratory care, service planning and emerging issues. The Network provides expertise, direction and advice to the Queensland Health Executive Management Team and clinicians, in relation to respiratory care, respiratory service planning, emerging respiratory issues, evidence based best practice and research.

Key areas of respiratory health the Network has identified include:

The membership of the organisation is multidisciplinary and comprised of clinicians within Queensland with an interest in respiratory health; and representatives from tertiary and non-tertiary health facilities across the state, private sector, general practice, universities and non-government organisations. The Network holds bi-annual forums and publishes a bulletin which is circulated regularly.
