This scholarship is awarded by the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSANZ) to enable scholars to undertake a clinical research project directed towards improving the cardiovascular health of Indigenous populations of Australia and/or New Zealand. The scholarship is open to residents of Australia and New Zealand who are of Indigenous background (Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, Maori or Pacific Islander). The applicant must be a health worker, post graduate scholar (Masters, PhD) or post doctoral scientist working in the field of Indigenous cardiovascular health. The scholarship will be awarded only to applicants whose research is to be conducted in Australia or New Zealand. The value of the scholarship is up to a maximum of $70,000 and may be shared at the discretion of the Board.
