Australian Institute of Personal Trainers Indigenous scholarship program

Overview

The Australian Institute of Personal Trainers (AIPT) is offering two course placements in Certificates III and IV in fitness for a male and female from the Indigenous community, enabling a career in personal training.

The objective of the scholarships is to empower Indigenous Australians with the knowledge and skills associated with health and fitness, to help address the chronic health and socioeconomic issues that affect Indigenous communities, whilst teaching life skills that ascend beyond the profession of personal training.

The AIPT will provide free tuition and text books as well as continued student support to assist the scholarship winners to graduate from the course, valued at approximately $5,000.

The AIPT will award 2 scholarships per annum. If further funding becomes available to fully fund this course, then the Institute will provide an unlimited number of scholarship opportunities.

Application details: The application period is from 1 January to 15 March, with the successful applicants being announced on 22 March.
