International Women's Day scholarship

Overview

International Women's Day (IWD) is celebrated around the world each year on 8th March to acknowledge the gains women have made over the years, and bring to attention the issues that still face women. It is additionally a day to celebrate and recognise the difference and achievements that women have made and continue to make.

As part of the celebration of IWD the International Women's Day Illawarra Committee will offer four individual scholarships of $2,000 each to encourage women in the community, who might not otherwise have the opportunity to expand their knowledge, skill and experience in a field of their interest or in which they have shown great potential.

There are four categories:

Applicants can self nominate or be nominated. There is no age restriction, however the applicant/nominee must reside in the Illawarra.

Application details: Applications close 7 February.
