Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nursing Scholarships

 

Overview

ACT Health in conjunction with the Canberra Institute of Technology is sponsoring two Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander enrolled nursing scholarships. The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders to undertake a Diploma of nursing course at the Canberra Institute of Technology with the view of retaining enrolled nurses within the ACT public health system.

Funding is available for a twelve-month calendar year, with the scholarship providing financial assistance for course tuition, administration fees and the purchase of recommended text books. The value of each scholarship will be dependent upon the fees associated with the course of study, administration costs, and the purchase of the recommended textbooks.

To be eligible for a scholarship, participants must meet the following requirements:

Application details: Applications are invited twice per year to coincide with the the commencement of semesters. Applications for 2014 close on 7 February and 18 July.
