Alcohol research grants funding

 

Overview

The Foundation for Alcohol Research & Education (FARE) is making available $300,000 for allocation to funding grants.These grants are being offered to a maximum of either $20,000 or $40,000. The majority of grants will be limited to $20,000. Collaborative practice (two or more organisations in partnership) and early career researchers will be looked on favourably.

FARE aims to pursue public policy reforms that will prevent the harms caused by alcohol misuse; these reforms include addressing alcohol pricing, promotion and availability. FARE's work also targets particular population groups that experience disproportionate levels of harms from alcohol misuse, including:

The research funding round will open on Monday 15 July and close at 4.00pm (AEST), Friday 23 August 2013. Applications received after this date will not be considered.
