Promoting healthy childhood - Chronic Diseases Network conference funding

Overview

Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people working or studying in health, child welfare or education are invited to apply for the opportunity to attend the upcoming Chronic Diseases Network Conference as a sponsored delegate or presenter.

The conference program will explore the range of factors during the early years that contribute to chronic conditions later in life. Chronic conditions can be the result of influences during pregnancy, childhood, or adolescence. Influences on chronic conditions later in life include, but are not limited to, whether a mother smokes in pregnancy, a child's diet and level of physical activity, exposure to domestic violence, parenting, and social determinants of health such as level of schooling, and the socioeconomic status of the family.

Sponsorship may cover conference registration costs, travel and accommodation, if required. It will be offered to applicants based on the selection criteria in the application form. A maximum of 2 sponsorships per organisation will be granted.

Application details: Applications close 20th of July. Please see the links/contact details below for further information.
