Overview

The St George Foundation offer funding through partnering with smaller community organisations who attract little funding from the government, and who aren't big enough to generate significant fundraising income of their own. The Foundation also invests in projects that will improve the lives of Australian children who are physically, socially or economically disadvantaged.

Grants are allocated via four funding rounds per annum. To be eligible for funding organisations will:

• assist children under the age of 18 years
• focus their efforts on Australian children
• have an annual gross revenue of less than $3,000,000
• receive less than 40% of their income from recurrent state or federal funding
• be endorsed as a deductible gift recipient (but not another ancillary fund). Deductible gift recipients must be listed with the Australian Taxation Office under Item 1of the Table in Section 30-15 of the Income Tax Assessment Act, 1936.
