Australian Capital Territory health promotion grants program

 

Overview

The Australian Capital Territory (ACT) health promotion grants program (formerly Healthpact) works to achieve a vision of a healthy, vital, sustainable ACT community by providing funding for health promotion projects. The majority of available funds are provided to community organisations to undertake projects to promote healthy living in a healthy environment, having a healthy community, and being healthy people.

The grants program has a significant focus on priorities under the National chronic disease strategy, the Council Of Australian Government's (COAG) National partnership agreement on preventive health, and the ACT Health's A healthy future - preventative health budget initiative 2009 -12.
