Overview

The Nursing and Midwifery Office recently launched the inaugural Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health fellowship for nurses and midwives.

Up to $20,000 will be awarded to individual researchers or a team whose research will translate into positive outcomes in Aboriginal health in Western Australia.

Applicants must be:

• registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
• an Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident
• either currently working within the WA public health system or able to demonstrate that their research proposal can inform policy, practice and reform in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health within the WA public health system.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander nurses and midwives are strongly encouraged to apply.
