Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs - Aboriginals benefit account

 

Overview

Aboriginals benefit account (ABA) contains funding for initiatives of benefit to Aboriginal people living in the Northern Territory. When planning a project or initiative which benefits Aboriginal people living in the Northern Territory, an organisation may be able to apply for money from the ABA to implement it.
The ABA funding can be used to support initiatives that promote:

Only organisations established under a commonwealth, state or territory law can apply for ABA funding. These organisations include incorporated associations, cooperatives and companies.
Organisations are encouraged to discuss their proposal with a member of the ABA Advisory Committee elected by the land council relevant to the project.

Application details: Funding is available throughout any year.
