Target audience: Those who wish to provide assistance to members of their community who need help managing and overcoming their addictive behaviours and associated problems
Course summary: This course provides participants with the skills to run SMART Recovery groups. SMART Recovery offers face-to-face and online counselling groups to people in the community who require assistance to deal with problems such as alcohol and other drugs, gambling, shopping, over-eating and excessive internet use. Upon completion of the training, the trainee will receive a SMART Recovery facilitator manual, a SMART Recovery members manual and a certificate of completion of training.
