Overview

The Aboriginal Health Council WA (AHCWA), Training and Development Centre offers Health Worker training in the Pilbara and Perth regions. The Pilbara campus is based at the Wirraka Maya Health Service Aboriginal Corporation and will deliver the Certificate III in Aboriginal Primary Health Care for students in the Pilbara region.

The Perth campus will deliver the Certificate IV in Aboriginal Primary Health Care to those students who are competent at the Certificate III level. AHCWA will offer the Certificate III in Aboriginal Primary Health Care one day a week for staff employed with Derbarl Yerrigan Health Service, allowing staff to continue working with minimum impact on the family and financial commitments.
