Overview

The conference will focus on the inequities in cardiovascular health care and outcomes among the Indigenous peoples of Australia and New Zealand. Sessions will include invited presentations, workshops and poster presentations. Presentations and discussions will develop the detailed policy recommendations of the inaugural conference and apply these to health care delivery.

Presentation topics will include:

• international perspectives
• determinants of cardiovascular disease
• rheumatic heart disease
• improving access to cardiovascular health care
• acute and chronic coronary disease in Indigenous populations
