Overview

The forum is aimed at Aboriginal AOD workers and will give them an opportunity to meet with other AOD workers from across the state to share what they know and to hear about state and national developments in the Aboriginal alcohol and other drug field.

This event will also include the 'Strong Spirit Strong Mind Awards'. There are four categories:

• Aboriginal AOD Worker of the Year
  
• Innovative and Culturally Secure Aboriginal and Other Drugs Program
  
• Partnership Award
  
• Organisation Recognition Award

Registrations for the forum close Thursday 25 March 2010.

Presenters spoke on subjects as varied as the new Strong Spirit Strong Mind resources, culturally secure supervision, AOD service provision and funding throughout Australia, and how to recruit and retain Aboriginal staff members.
