Overview

The Aboriginal Health Council of Western Australia (AHCWA) was incorporated under the Commonwealth Corporations Law in February-March 2005. It replaced the Western Australian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (WAACCHO) as a the peak body for 19 Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHSs) in WA. ACCHSs are also known as Aboriginal Medical Services.

HealthInfoNet Cafe

In collaboration with the Aboriginal Health Council of Western Australia (AHCWA), the Australian Indigenous HealthInfoNet organised a workshop for a group of Indigenous health promotion officers. During the workshop, Professor Neil Thomson and Ineke Krom introduced the group to the HealthInfoNet, and explained how the website can support health promotion officers in their work.
