Short course on health aspects of disaster

 

Overview

This 5-day course is run by the Australian Centre for International Tropical Health. It is intended for students enrolled in a Masters of Public Health program.

However, it is also open to people who have practical experience in disasters and who feel that formal education would complement their experience and skills. Participants who wish to undertake the course without assessment will receive a certificate of attendance.

This course will cover:

The course will include case studies of recent Australian and international disasters presented by a panel of experts with direct and ongoing experience of these situations.
