This seminar is part of the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS) semester 2 seminar series on Contextualising social and emotional wellbeing as part of Indigenous health and healing.
This particular seminar will focus on the development and evaluation of the Social and emotional wellbeing training program and the Sustaining connections project conducted in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in Queensland. The seminar will be presented by Dr Norm Sheehan, a Wiradjuri man from Mudgee, NSW. Dr Sheehan works at the University of Queensland where he has recently undertaken a major research project in partnership with Link-up Queensland, which has resulted in the publication of two books: Stolen generations education, and Respectful design.
The seminar is free and open to the public and will be webcast on the AIATSIS website.
