Overview

This workshop is designed to provide health professionals with the knowledge and practical skills in foot care to provide clinical services and promote client self management.

The workshop content includes:

• client education to promote observation and daily foot care
• early identification and intervention strategies to assist people to identify changes in their feet that require a referral to a podiatrist
• incorporating diabetic foot screening and foot care plans into daily work practice
• basic treatments methods such as toenail cutting and paring calluses in the clinical setting.

This workshop includes one day theory and one day practical training presented by a qualified podiatrist. There is no pre-work for this course.
