HealthInfoNet attending the Western Australian drug and alcohol conference on 7 August

The Australian Indigenous HealthInfoNet will be running a cafe tomorrow the 7 August (2012) at the Western Australian drug and alcohol conference.

The conference will run at the Burswood Convention Centre in Perth, Western Australia (WA). Those interested in Indigenous health issues, particularly in the field of substance use and comorbidities, offender health, and the health of Indigenous people in WA, are encouraged to visit the cafe for further information.

The theme of this conference is Making it happen: improving services through collaboration. Keynote speakers include:

• Associate Professor David Best, BA, MSc, PhD - Associate Professor of Addiction Studies, Turning Point Alcohol and Drug Centre and Monash University Melbourne
• Dr Tracy Westerman - Managing Director, Indigenous Psychological Services, Port Hedland, Western Australia
• Winthrop Professor Paul Flatau - Director, Centre for Social Impact, Business School, the University of Western Australia.
