National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Worker Association formed

May 2009 saw the formation of the interim Board of the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Association. It is a national based Association, representing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers across Australia. The Association will have a Chief Executive Officer and Adminstrative Officer with a part-time Finance Officer. Secretariat support in each State and Territory will be provided where applicable. This provides for an effective and efficient way of operating coupled with dealing with jurisdictional issues that may arise.
