The Alzheimer's Australia's national conference being held in Brisbane has heard calls for an increase in federal funding for dementia services and to raise awareness about dementia in Indigenous communities.
Remote Aboriginal Media Corporation spokesman Ian Watson, spoke at the conference and says 'dementia is a growing problem and he hopes to educate Indigenous groups via community radio in languages [and] in words that they would understand'.
