Would your organisation benefit from some eye health educational resources? If so, please register your interest now to obtain one of the I see for culture resource kits.
These resource kits were developed by the International Centre for Eyecare Education (ICEE) in 2009. Thanks to funding from the Commonwealth Government's Department of Health and Ageing, ICEE will shortly be producing and distributing more of these kits to relevant organisations, such as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health organisations, clinics, and registered training organisations.
The resources are image-based and are designed to allow health workers to better explain and educate their patients about eye and vision disorders.
The kit contains eye-health promotion posters, two flip-charts, a model eye and simulator glasses. For further information about the kits, please visit the Brien Holden Vision Institute website below.
To request a kit for your organisation, please email your expression of interest, along with your organisation's contact details (postal details, phone, fax) to: Amy Nicholls (a.nicholls@brienholdenvision.org)
Please also spread the word to other contacts/colleagues working in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander eye health who could make good use of the I see culture resources.
Kind regards,
Anna Morse
