Professor Shane Houston appointed Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the University of Sydney's Indigenous Strategy and Services

Professor Shane Houston has been appointed the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Indigenous Strategy and Services at the University of Sydney. He has a background in education and health and will help the University of Sydney to develop and lead an integrated strategy to advance Indigenous participation, engagement, education and research.

Professor Houston currently holds an Adjunct Professorial appointment in the School of Medicine, University of Notre Dame, Sydney. He has also been a member of the Co-Operative Research Centre for Aboriginal Health and the Lowitja Institute board. Professor Houston's previous position was Executive Director, Systems Performance and Aboriginal Policy with the Northern Territory Department of Health and Families.
