Professor Ian Anderson has taken up his new role as Director of Murrup Barak, Melbourne Institute for Indigenous Development, University of Melbourne. He has a background in medicine and social sciences, and has worked in Aboriginal Health for more than 25 years. Professor Anderson is the Director for Research and Innovation at the Lowitja Institute, and he chairs the National Indigenous Health Equality Council. He has also recently been appointed the next Fellow for Indigenous Leadership, which is a fellowship that supports Indigenous leaders to achieve positive change for Indigenous communities.
