Later this week, four Indigenous people from remote communities in Western Australia and the Northern Territory will set off to New York City for the 42km marathon. Juan Darwin, Joseph Davies, Charlie Maher and Caleb Hart will leave Australia shortly to make their way to America to compete in this worldwide event. The group are part of the Australian marathon champion Rob de Castella's Indigenous Marathon Project and they aim to promote healthy lifestyles and raise money and awareness of cardiovascular disease and other chronic illnesses.
