Call for Health heroes to promote careers within Indigenous health

The Department of Health are seeking suitable health professionals and students to attend a number of career expos as part of their Health heroes campaign, to speak and assist in promoting careers within Indigenous health.

The Health heroes campaign, developed by the Department of Health, aims to attract Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to work in Indigenous health. The project recognises that an increase in the number of skilled and semi-skilled people working in Indigenous health is necessary to improve Indigenous access to quality health care, and aims to make the Australian health system more responsive to the health needs of Indigenous people.
