The COAG is monitoring the progress in achieving the Closing the gap targets. Little progress is witnessed in infant mortality and children education. But Unfortunately, the Indigenous housing program has not had as much impact as primed in 2007 by the Rudd Government. Closing the gap will remain an area in need for continuous commitment because of the challenging nature of the policy targets.
