Beagle Bay store a success under new management

Beagle Bay store on the Dampier Peninsula of Western Australia (WA) is under new management, providing employment opportunities and a bigger variety of fresh food for the local community.

Outback Stores has taken over the Beagle Bay store’s management, with the directors from the Ngarlan Store Indigenous Corporation still remaining involved to learn better governance and management practices for the future.

The managers have received a lot of positive feedback about the variety of fresh fruit, vegetables and additional grocery items now stocked in the store. 'I don’t have to go to Broome now to do my shopping. I can do my shopping here; they got everything,' a local community Elder said.
