Scholarships aim to boost the number of Indigenous midwives in remote communities

Date posted: 28 January 2014

The Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney is offering scholarships to Indigenous Health Workers specialising in women's health.

The Sister Alison Bush scholarship honours the first Indigenous midwife in New South Wales and aims to prepare Indigenous women with the skills needed to work in remote communities.

Applications for this year open in early March and Health Workers from a variety of backgrounds are invited to apply.
