Energy and Water Ombudsman Queensland connecting with Indigenous communities

Date posted: 5 December 2013

The Energy and Water Ombudsman Queensland (EWOQ) is strengthening relationships with Indigenous communities, aiming to ensure communities experiencing problems with their electricity supplier have an organisation to reach out to.

The EWQQ has recently appointed an Indigenous Investigation and Conciliation and Outreach Officer to investigate complaints and liaise with Indigenous communities and representative bodies about electricity issues. The Officer will commence in 2014.
