The Minister for Indigenous Health, Warren Snowdon, has announced a $4.3 million IT boost that will be granted to four Aboriginal health organisations who will assist over 50 member health services collectively across Queensland, the Northern Territory, Victoria and South Australia. The IT funding grants are designed to enhance the IT capacity of the health services and aim to improve rural and remote case management as well as promote health service networks and partnership development. The four appointed Aboriginal organisations will manage the rollout to the various partners to close the gap between remote and non remote access to health information databases.
