Cultural immersion camp 2013

Date posted: 18 November 2013

Northern Territory General Practice Education (NTGPE) has hosted the 2013 Cultural immersion camp in community of Belyuen; a community of approximately 225 people located 128 km by road from Darwin.

The three day camp was held on the beach and attended by 30 registrars, junior doctors, medical students and several NTGPE staff.

Participants enjoyed morning sunrises, went mud crabbing in the afternoon and lit camp fires in the evening. They also learned about men's business whilst making didgeridoos, and women's business whilst basket weaving.

Registration is now open for the 2014 camp.
