The inaugural female Indigenous Australian Football League (AFL) competition kicked off at Victoria Park in Melbourne, Victoria (Vic). The competition is being held over five days from Monday 9 September 2013.
The aim of the competition is primarily to drive Indigenous female participation in sport, and also to drive other social outcomes, including health, education, leadership and employment objectives.
Seven teams of girls from across the country will compete at the under 18 level.
