The National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (NACCHO) released the Healthy futures 10 point plan and the Healthy for life report card on 19 June 2013.
The 10-point plan was created with the knowledge and experience of the Aboriginal community controlled health sector, from the communities and locations where the current health gains are being achieved.
The plan provides the NACCHO sector, stakeholders, partners and governments with a clear set of priorities and strategies that are aimed to result in improvements in Aboriginal health outcomes.
The Healthy for life report card provides data from a number of sources: preliminary population and housing data from the 2011 Census (ABS 2012a and 2012b), data from Australian Indigenous Health & Welfare (AIHW) work on health expenditure, and data from Healthy for life and Online Service Reporting (OSR).
