Australian Indigenous HealthInfoNet seeks Professor and Deputy Director

Date posted: 25 October 2012

Edith Cowan University (ECU) is seeking a senior academic or public health professional with a well-established national profile and record to play a crucial role in the work and ongoing development of ECU's award-winning Australian Indigenous HealthInfoNet.

The successful applicant will possess exceptional research, communication, leadership, management and engagement skills, as well as demonstrating personal attributes congruent with the University's values of integrity, respect, rational inquiry and personal excellence.

The Deputy Director will initially report to the Director of the HealthInfoNet and progressively transition to the role of Director. The role will make significant contributions to the HealthInfoNet's strategic planning, development and maintenance of collaborative networks and partnerships, and translational research activities, which are making substantial contributions to 'closing the gap' between Indigenous and other Australians by informing Indigenous health practice and policy.

Strong business acumen and a demonstrated ability to enhance the HealthInfoNet's research and engagement capability are essential. Interested applicants are encouraged to call Professor Neil Thomson on (08) 9370 6062.
